Semana Santa in Valladolid, Spain
We waited 2 hours for train tickets to this somewhat unknown city about 3 hours north of Madrid. Little did we know we were about to witness a Palm Sunday and Holy Week in the true Spanish tradition: marching bands, solemn processions and parades. In the photo with the tall cyprus trees, Ingrid is standing in front of the original cathedral which collapsed in the Great Lisbon earthquake of 1755.
We visited the Summer home of the kings & queens of yesteryear with Donna.
