Barcelona Flashback

With Ingrid in the US, and the weather here less than perfect, I have some time to update the blog. I just found this draft post from last June, when Kimberly & Byron came to visit us in Spain. Here are some pics from our last weekend spent in Barcelona, Spain's least impressive city.

Stormy Weather

After a week of record heat with temps in the low 90s, UAE got hit by a sandstorm last Thursday and then rain & thunderstorms over the weekend. Hardest hit were the far northern Emirates, where hundreds got stranded and had to be rescued, and 1 local man drowned. The top photo was taken in a wadi, a normally dry riverbed that tourists often visit to go 4-wheel riding. The bottom photo was taken at the airport in Ras Al Khaimah.
