Unfortunately, the monk was at the doctor's, so we didn't get to meet him. We are standing inside the trunk of an ancient tree. Very close to here we saw the ruins of a town destroyed by the Germans in WW2 in which all of the inhabitants were executed. The homes are still there. Very sad to see in the middle of so much natural beauty.
